On 10 October 2011 Suffragan Bishop Franz Vorrath came to visit the Hermann Klincke wire-drawing mill. Within in the frame of his visitation to the largest congregation within the diocese of Essen in terms of area the visit to an industrial operation was part of the programme. We highly appreciate that the St. Mathew-Congregation made the choice for our company.
Suffragan Bishop Vorrath was accompanied not only by his personal assistant but parish priest Schmalenbach plus the parochial church council members Bernard and Flusche demonstrating great interest in technical matters. He eagerly listened to the comments of Technical Manager Holger Falz who explained the principles of wire-drawing. On 23 September 1991 Ms Erika Karthäuser joined Max W. Claas. It all started with the replacement of another person who was on maternity leave but very quickly turned into a permanent employment.
