Cold heading wire

For the production of fasteners and cold extruded parts with demanding requirements for cold workability. Optimum conditions for the material structure, surface finish, geometry and mechanical properties.

Heat treatable spring steel wire

For the production of springs with special properties. Cr-alloyed, V-alloyed and Mo-alloyed variants. Design with the highest possible degree of moulding.


Quality steel wires for the manufacturing of sophisticated products that are produced by bending, heading, rolling or tooling. Infinitely variable C-range from 0.02 % to 0.95 % is available.


Drawing technology Klincke

Wires with diameters from 0.50 - 28.00 mm

HERMANN KLINCKE J. H. SOHN GMBH & CO. KG uses modern single and multiple drawing machines to draw customised wires with diameters of 0.50 – 28.00 mm on modern single and multiple drawing machines with a high demand for optimum product geometry and the best possible homogeneity of the annealing structure. Production tolerances are monitored online by using laser measuring equipment and optimised process sequences ensure short throughput times and a consistently high quality of the drawn wires. 


Pickling technology Klincke

Surface treatment system for ring diameters up to 1,500 mm

The surface treatment system at KLINCKE for ring diameters up to 1,500 mm for the production of phosphated, non-phosphated, soaped and bright wire surfaces fulfils the highest demands. An integrated tunnel extraction system, a condensation drying system and the wastewater neutralisation system significantly reduce the environmental impact. The surface treatment line offers phosphating, reactive soaping and neutralisation.

Bonnet annealing system with HICON® H² annealing technology

As part of the expansion of HERMANN KLINCKE J. H. SOHN GMBH & CO. KG, a modern hood-type annealing system was installed with HICON®-H² annealing technology, a fully automatic programme sequence, two sockets, one heating hood, one cooling hood, a socket capacity of up to 65 tonnes and deformation of up to 100%. The annealing plant is already planned for expansion to three annealing sockets, two heating hoods and two cooling hoods. If the development and availability of hydrogen as a fuel gas is completed, a switch to hydrogen will be possible with little effort. The heat that is generated and dissipated during the heat treatment is used to heat halls and common rooms. The waste heat from the flue gas is used to heat the surface treatment line.
